Trinity is a hard rock/heavy band from
Vantaa, Finland, known for their entertaining performances
and busy gig schedule. The group was founded in the mid-90's and operated under
several
different names, but it wasn’t until 2003 after
changing the name to Trinity when the actual touring and activity
began. Previously they had recorded a few demos for their friends
and played dozens of gigs, mostly in the Helsinki-region where
they’ve already established a stable fan base.
The 5-track debut EP released in
January 2007 contains three songs of their own and two covers; ‘Ace
of Spades’ by Motörhead and ‘Pet Sematary’ by The Ramones.
Trinity is at best especially on
stage, where their captivating energy and rocking attitude are unleashed.
The live-sets always include a few cover songs to complement their
own ones, and so far they’ve rehearsed over 80 of them, with singer
Sami “Texas” Ilvonen, capable of producing a voice range of over
four octaves, performing the songs with commitment.
Texas has excelled with his voice
except in Trinity but in other places as well. In 2005 he won the
competition “Wanna be a Rockstar?” and in the spring of 2006 he released a
single with his solo project Grudge’s Claw, called Vision Weaver.
